Texas Ain't Texas...

...without a saddled Texas Longhorn walking down the road! Of course this was in Bandera, the "cowboy capital of the world" and its rider was mighty nice. He let Abby get on her and take a picture, wearing his cowboy hat. If you're out and about in Texas, you really should check this place out! It's right in the prettiest part of Texas Hill Country and has awesome old-town looking shops and restaurants/bars with live bands and country dancin'. We were just driving through and saw some things, on our way back from some apple orchards... but we'll be back! And I'm fixin' to get me a cowboy hat!

I'm so glad that you guys have a blog now. They are so much fun and such a great way to keep in touch with everyone. I hope we can make it to Texas sometime before you move from there, so we can see all the great sites!

Yeah, we liked Bandera when we drove through it too. But that was mostly what we did that time too, just drove through. We should check it out better sometime. What orchards did you go too?

Hey Mar. Your blog is super cute! Looks like a lot of fun out there in Texas. Ditto to Ang - are you coming out this way anytime? I heard I missed you in CO. by a week or two. I was bummed.

Babcocks-- we went to Love Creek Apple Orchards. In the fall it's a huge, festive pumpkin patch/petting zoo/hay ride kind of place. Abby really liked it.
